Human beings have developed arms to defend themselves since the Stone Age. For instance, when cavemen and prehistoric humans felt threatened from an animal or another human used rocks and wood sticks to attack those threats. In short, they used skills and weapons to attack and defend themselves.
Humans have developed a lot of intelligence since then. In my view, we are more civilized, but some leaders have used the rules humans developed for their own benefit. This is not right. In particular, when countries can´t provide security to it´s nationals.
If we are intelligent enough to create a firearm. Then, we are intelligent and responsible enough to use it adequately. I agree that every citizen of the world should have a firearm at home, learn how to use it and defend family and home from other human or animal threats. In conclusion, if the governors can´t help us defend ourselves. Who will?
